Multiracial & Interracial eXperience (MIX)

The greater Seattle area's community organization for multiracial people and families, transracial adoptees and people in interracial relationships. The purpose of this group is to provide a safe, multiracial community where people can meet, share and explore the challenges and strengths that come with living life outside the box.

One World Now!

It is young generations who have the ability to shift the paradigm towards a new mind-set reflecting one world and one human race, instead of the "us" versus "them" mentality. OneWorld Now! Washington State Coalition for International Education

The Washington State Coalition for International Education was formed in spring, 2003, as an affiliation of individuals and organizations committed to preparing all students for today's interconnected world. The organizations mission is to: "...inspire students, educators, and community members to broaden their educational outlooks, experiences and practices in order to more fully appreciate the world and its peoples." The Foundation for International Understanding through Students (FIUTS)

FIUTS organizes a Homestay Program for new international students and scholars at the University of Washington. This program gives students a chance to adjust to life in the US and share a bit of their culture with their host during their first week in Seattle. As a host you can promote one of the most important endeavors we as a world now face: cross-cultural understanding. Deutscher Kulturkreis

An initiative in the Greater Seattle Area celebrating all German speaking cultures. We are keeping German cultural traditions alive by organizing a number of festivities for families throughout the year, for example a German Mardi Gras party for children, a lantern parade on Saint Martin’s day in November and a Saint Nick celebration in December. A wonderfully innovative organization, One World Now, is changing the lives of youth around the world by helping to expose them to language and culture first hand!

The Washington State Coalition for International Education is an advocate for increased language and culture education in the schools. If their vision can be realized, students in Washington would have the chance to become more global citizens.
