Becky Shares Her Secrets!
Let me introduce myself: My name is Becky Dolan. I am American and, sadly, not bilingual. However, I have always had a love of languages and learning. It had been my lifelong goal to become a teacher, and I proudly taught first grade until I became a mother of two wonderful kids. Now I really teach full time!
In an effort to raise my own children bilingually I had a hard time finding toys that would help with that goal. Out of frustration, I created MagellansToyShop.com, a place where families can find quality educational products to teach children about languages and cultures from around the world.
It is really an honor that the Bilingual/Bicultural Family Network has asked me to contribute to their monthly newsletter by sharing books, toys and more that I think would be of interest to you as a bilingual or bicultural family. This first month I am going to introduce you to some of my favorites. Each one touches on multiple languages or cultures and can be found at my store, other specialty toy stores or online.
